This role is contingent and will last approximately 9 months. Job Summary This position is responsible for learning to align business objectives with management and employees in designated business units. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The position maintains a level of literacy about the business unit's needs, goals, competition, and culture with guidance from HR leadership. Essential Responsibilities Conducts or attends regularly scheduled meetings with respective business units. Consults with line management and provides employment guidance for multiple business groups. Learns to analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR specialist groups; provides input into developing solutions, programs, and policies. Manages and resolves routine employee relations issues; grows in conducting thorough and objective investigations. Grows and maintains proficient knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance; obtains guidance from HR leadership and Legal partners as needed/required. Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation. Guides leaders on position descriptions, approval, and evaluation process. Coaches managers on recruiting, hiring, promotions, and onboarding. Provides input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning. Identifies training needs for business units and individual coaching needs. Facilitates and assists in the development of leadership training. Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success; follows up to ensure training objectives are met. Conducts stay and exit interviews; addresses trends and areas needing attention with HR specialist teams and managers.
