From Day 1, Product Managers are given ownership of large products, the autonomy to think strategically and make data driven decisions, and the ability to drive significant impact to the customer experience and the business. Over their careers, successful product managers will be exposed to multiple businesses/products, and pushed to grow into senior level general managers that independently run large business segments and organizations. This is a global role that will include interaction with teams in countries outside of the United States, requiring a strong ability to communicate effectively and understand the different needs of global customers. Your decisions are not only fundamental to the viability and attractiveness of our offering for Sellers, but they will in turn drive selection, revenue and growth of our overall business.

We are seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead our efforts to simplify the experience for selling partners WW, as by thinking strategically about scaling systems and tooling across various selling partner cohorts and simplifying their experience for managing account health and compliance to regulatory requirements. This role owns the vision and long-term roadmap in this regard, and will be a successful influencer in terms of driving teams to execute on that vision. The Principal Product Manager is responsible for setting the direction for the portfolio of products/offerings, defining goals, prioritizing features according to impact/risk, and preparing launch & GTM strategies.

The Principal Product Manager is a bar-raising communicator, both verbally as well as in writing. As a Principal, they serve as a role model for other product owners in the space, and need to be able to influence across stakeholder teams and senior leaders to drive alignment strategically. This role requires clear articulation of complex problems and proposed solutions, and requires high judgement to ensure the right leaders are involved in decisions and regularly informed on progress. This role aligns teams towards clear priorities and advocates for investment delivering large, complex business initiatives, with clear mechanisms that audit progress towards shared goals and regularly reports results to ensure long-term business success. This leader collaborates across various VP-level organizations.

Key job responsibilities

Identify opportunities to improve the Selling Partner experience on Amazon and translate those opportunities into products and features

Work with our tech partners and draw upon your experience to make the right trade-offs, unblock them when needed, and build synergies between multiple tech and product teams

Be responsible for communicating our innovations to our stakeholder teams and broader selling community, when necessary

Work with internal customers to understand their use cases and their existing solutions

Clarify and drive project commitments as well as establish and maintain clear chains of accountability (i.e. goals and standard reporting mechanisms)

Have the ability to query and analyze data, and come up with insightful findings out of data

Mentor and guide the product managers in our organization and hold us to a high standard of product, technical rigor, and excellence

Work with internal customers to identify and understand their pain points and desired outcomes.

Define and prioritize requirements and manage product roadmap.

Use your technical judgment and understanding to test assumptions.

Think big to build durable products that anticipate future pain points.

Address bottlenecks, identify inefficiencies, anticipate and make tradeoffs; balance the business and customers’ needs versus technical constraints

Deliver products on time with the right feature set and high quality.

Evangelize product benefits, simplify onboarding and usability, and drive adoption

About the team

As a part of WW Selling Partner Services (SPS), Selling Partner Trust and Compliance strives to both a) ensure Selling Partners feel confident in growing their business with Amazon, and b) equip Selling Partners with the tools and information they need to maintain compliance with mandated regulatory requirements and adherence to Amazon policies. We build best-in class experiences for Selling Partners to sell in our store, understand and manage their business health, and remain compliant with Amazon’s policies and external regulations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • 10+ years of blending product and program management skills to execute strategic initiatives about process creation, standardization, and improvement experience

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience as a product manager or owner

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience owning technology products

  • Knowledge of SQL

  • Master's degree

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $145,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $240,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
