Amazon Principal Product Manager, Technical, Core Shopping in Seattle, Washington

Who we are: We are part of the Core Shopping organization, which is responsible for many of the core shopping experiences customers interact with on Amazon today. Our team is focused on building novel ways for customers to find and discover new products. If you love building new experiences from scratch with high impact for customers, this is the team for you!

What you will do: We are seeking a Principal Product Manager – Technical, to own the vision, development, launch, and continuous improvement for a new shopping experience. You will work with talented scientists, engineers, UX designers, program managers, and product managers to innovate on behalf of our customers. The right person has deep technical knowledge, high levels of customer obsession, is comfortable with a high-level of ambiguity. The ideal candidate has demonstrated a strong ability to build repeatable and scalable processes, and is an independent operator skilled at aligning resources and working cross-team to deliver on behalf of our customers. You will build experiences across surfaces (desktop, mobile app, voice, etc.).

What you will learn: You should already be an excellent communicator, written and verbal, but we will make you an even better one. You will also develop expertise in cutting edge science and technology across the ecommerce industry.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience as a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and effectively influence across cross-functional teams

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of end to end product delivery experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
