We are currently building our UX Team, which spans across organizations that research, develop, manufacture, and sell new medicines as well as the infrastructures and platforms that enable them. This role will be pivotal in enabling Moderna's patients to receive our mRNA medicines (beyond COVID vaccines, including our individualized neoantigen therapy, previously known as Cancer treatment). As a member of the UX team with significant growth potential, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Principal UX Designer. In this role, you'll lead the definition, design, and delivery of multiple products across the Development organizations. Moderna's committed to quickly, efficiently, and safely moving our most promising medicines to market. The Development organization is responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on effective and well-organized clinical trials. You will have the opportunity to grow into a design leader, set up aspects of the product design process, and build best practices. Here's What You'll Do * Independently and collaboratively, create product design solutions for problems of large scope and complexity. Carry out research to develop user insights, and use these insights, along with business requirements and technical constraints, to inform your design decisions. * Lead the discovery and strategic phases of a project. Proactively identify opportunities and define product vision and roadmaps. * Champion user-centered design in your day-to-day design decisions and collaborations. Evangelize design thinking and process with cross-functional teams. * Adopt experimental and data-driven approaches: build lightweight prototypes for user testing, seek user feedback, and use data to inform your design decisions. * Bring best practices and process improvement to the design team. * Create, contribute, and adopt design systems and guidelines to promote a unified design language across products and platforms. Here's What You'll Need (Minimum Qualifications) * Strong aptitude in design, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the user-centered design process. * Exceptional problem-solving abilities and solid design instincts. * Experience planning and executing effective user research, solo, or in partnership with a User Researcher. * An online portfolio showcasing your work on released products of similar scale and complexity to this role. * Deep knowledge and experience in building Figma Design Components and Libraries. * Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. * A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in Product/UX/Service Design roles. * Bachelor and a Graduate degree or comparable professional experience in design, HCI or relevant disciplines Here's What You'll Bring to the To view the full job description,
