Salary: $95,000 - $155,000 SUMMARY The Project Engineer carriers the responsibility of supervising all engineering personnel and project engineering functions. The project engineer demonstrates a thorough understating of the contract drawings, specifications, subcontract agreements, major purchase orders, bid estimate, job schedule, and the overall scheme for construction of the project. The project engineers establishes liaison with the comparable level personnel of the project owner. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Additional duties may be assigned. Responsible for all engineering activities on the project ensuring that all work is done in compliance with the project plans, specifications, and applicable permits Responsible for leading and practicing safe work standards and promoting an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) work environment. Preparation of project work plans, work element plans, and JSAs Preparation of pay estimates for submittal to the client Submitting updated weekly Labor Variance and Cost Variance Reports Conducts critical path scheduling, baseline scheduling, and 3 week look ahead scheduling Responsible for project planning and layout Coordinates project activities with the client and other project stakeholders Monitors production and operations on the assigned job Oversees contractor quality control reporting Provides general project support Responsible for project files and organization of project office Maintain a high standard of ethical behavior, encourages ethical behavior in others, supports ethical decisions and actively seeks appropriate resolution to potential ethical conflicts. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises lead engineers and field engineers on assigned projects. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures and all federal/state laws. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE B.S. in a technical area of study, typically Civil Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or Construction Management and a minimum of 5 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record. First Aid/CPR Certification, preferred. 30 hour OSHA Certification, preferred Fall Protection Competent Person, preferred Professional Engineer registration preferred. COMPUTER SKILLS Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Word/ Excel/Outlook; be experienced with scheduling, estimating, computer-aided design (CAD) and project management software- HCSS & Primavera, preferred.
