UW Medicine Primary and Urgent Care - Kirkland has an outstanding opportunity for a Radiologic Technologist!

WORK SCHEDULE

• Full time, 100% FTE, 40 hours per week

• May require a regularly scheduled weekend day Sat/Sunday

• Contribute to the development and evaluation of radiology processes and procedures DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Ideally located for those living and working in Downtown Kirkland, and just three blocks from the Kirkland Transit Center, UW Medicine Primary and Urgent Care at Kirkland offers a complete spectrum of primary care services five days a week (including evenings and same-day appointments). Board-certified family medicine, internal medicine, and pediatric providers offer dedicated, personalized care via in-person and virtual visits. For your convenience, a lab and digital X-ray services are available on-site.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare patients for radiological procedures. Verify the site of the exam and instruct patients regarding procedures.

• Position patients and adjust equipment for taking x-rays following established procedures. Select length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on an individual patient basis

• Provide protection for patient and self in accordance with prescribed safety standards

• Examine radiology images for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion

• Deliver images to PACS for reading/ interpretation by providers and UW Radiologists

• Maintain radiology room Stocks necessary medical and radiology supplies

• Clean and make minor adjustments to radiological equipment REQUIREMENTS

• Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with Registry, or eligible to have ARRT completed withinthe employee's probationary period.

• Certified by the State of Washington as a Radiologic Technologist/X-ray Technician, before completion of probationary period.
