Gensler Regional Practice Area Leader - Senior Living in Seattle, Washington

Your Role Gensler's Practice Area Leaders have deep knowledge and expertise in project delivery and thought leadership. They partner with our clients and project teams to deliver best-in-class strategy and design service. Gensler's Northwest Region is seeking a leader to strengthen our architectural expertise and client base for our Senior Living Practice Area. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of hospitality, residential, and mixed-use typologies with a proven track record of designing retirement communities to multigenerational urban high rises. Our goal is to design memorable experiences and living spaces that offer more choice for active older adults. What You Will Do Utilize expertise, positioning, industry engagement, and client relationships to win new senior living projects Foster strategic development of projects Manage clients, including project organization and successful start-up. Work in collaboration with other Gensler leaders in this Practice Area to leverage the capabilities of the Firm and help build the Senior Living Practice firmwide Partner with regional leadership to develop a standard of practice that addresses the unique requirements of this exciting and growing practice area Develop client and practice strategies, market positioning, and leadership within a design practice focused onsenior living projects Talent development and acquisition Your Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture or Interior Design Expertise with a wide range of Senior Living project types 15+ years of related architectural experience, including demonstrated success as a Project/Design Manager or Architect on Senior Living project types Experience designing/building senior living communities, medical facilities, memory care facilities, fitness centers, outdoor living, etc. Experience with healthcare, wellness, and life sciences spaces is a plus 10+ years' experience in an architecture and design firm in client development, and/or management of a studio, practice group, or regional office with client development responsibilities and a proven track record of success Experience developing relationships with new and existing clients that will enhance the firm's competitive advantage and positioning Proven leadership and management skills, including the ability to develop collaborative relationships that lead to successful results, within the firm and externally - with clients, consultants, and other key participants in the design and development process Strong presentation skills with the ability to be articulate and convincing in interviews and other presentations Versatile, self-motivated, passionate about senior living, able to inspire excitement within and outside of Gensler, expert networker and dot-connector Commitment to the principles of sustainable and equitable design, and experience integrating them on projects Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace, and with our project teams AIA, NCARB, NCIDQ or CID, ACHA, EDAC, and LEED AP are preferred For more information about Gensler and our Senior Living sector, please visit: Firm Profile | Gensler Gensler | Creating a Better World Through the Power of Design Senior Living | Expertise | Gensler Defining Active Adult: A Promising Housing Model for an Active Aging Future (gensler.com) **The base salary will be estimated between $130,000 - $190,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
