GE Appliances is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Area Sales Manager (ASM) to lead and manage sales activities within Northern Washington and Alaska. This role will drive sales growth, build strong relationships with customers, and optimize the customer experience across Retail Independent Dealers and National Accounts. The territory includes Lynnwood, Everett, Mt. Vernon, Bellingham, Burlington, Wenatchee, and Alaska, with the expectation of 2-3 trips to Alaska annually.
The ideal candidate will reside in Washington State with convenient access to Northern WA and Wenatchee. The Senior ASM will oversee the entire sales lifecycle, from floor merchandising, sales training, and pricing/promotional strategies to managing distribution and fulfillment. This role requires frequent engagement with business stakeholders, key decision-makers, and sales associates, as well as handling customer service responsibilities to ensure an exceptional brand experience.

How You'll Create Possibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Territory Sales Management:
Represent GE Appliances by selling and promoting appliances to both national accounts and independent retail customers in the assigned territory.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, developing tailored marketing strategies to expand sales in the region.
Collaborate with customers to create merchandising/promotional strategies that drive sell-through and enhance account profitability.
Sales Planning & Execution:
Develop and deliver on sales and margin operating plans, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
Analyze sales performance using quantitative expertise, including generating ROI reports, margin analyses, and scenario planning.
Prepare and deliver compelling product training presentations and materials to drive sales associate effectiveness.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, acting as a trusted advisor and resource.
Resolve customer issues promptly and accurately, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
Serve as the primary point of contact for account inquiries, operational issues, and strategic discussions.
Reporting & Strategy:
Create and maintain detailed status reports tracking activity, follow-ups, and progress toward sales goals.
Provide actionable insights to leadership to inform sales strategies and performance improvements.
Travel & Presence:
Travel regularly to customers within the assigned territory, ensuring a consistent in-person presence.
Conduct 2-3 annual trips to Alaska to manage and grow relationships with accounts in that region.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of five (5) years of sales experience, preferably in the appliance or retail industry.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
Ability to work effectively from a home office.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights.
Proven ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated success in developing, organizing, and implementing territory sales plans.
Exceptional skills in relationship building, communication, presentation, and negotiation.
Proven ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Experience in merchandising, advertising, and sales promotion techniques.
Familiarity with ROI analysis, inventory management, and other quantitative sales tools.
Previous GE Appliances sales experience or equivalent in the appliance/retail industry.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The position is based in Northern WA, with relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.
GE Appliances provides a company car for travel within the territory.
The Senior ASM will play a critical role in driving sales growth, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring GE Appliances’ continued success in the Northern WA and Alaska markets.
