Job Summary: As the Senior Data Analytics Manager at WaFd Bank, you will lead and mentor a dedicated team responsible for delivering data and analytical insights that inform and shape the bank's business decisions and strategies. Reporting directly to the Chief Data Officer, you will play a pivotal role in the leadership of the data department, developing and executing strategies that align with organizational goals while acting as a bridge between your team and the broader business. Your leadership will drive the expansion of WaFd's data literacy by championing the power of data, high-quality analytics, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement. This role demands a hands-on approach, as you will guide your team and actively participate in building data models and analytics. Collaboration is key in this role, requiring you to work closely with various departments to ensure data initiatives are aligned with business objectives. Experience in fintech or a financial institution is a significant advantage. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Team Leadership and Development Hire, manage, and mentor a strong team of data professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture with excellent customer service in alignment with WaFd's values. Work with stakeholders to set goals, balance priorities, and focus the team on high-value work. Provide hands-on guidance, performance assessments, and professional development opportunities for the team. Data Analysis and Insights Utilize advanced analytics techniques, including statistical modeling, AI/ML, and predictive analytics, to translate complex data into actionable business insights and present findings to senior management and stakeholders. Reporting and Visualization Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the impact of business strategies. Use data visualization tools to create clear and compelling visual representations of data. Business Analytics Architecture Work side by side with team members to lead the design, construction, and maintenance of data marts. Partner with data engineers to move data from source systems into data repositories and model it for use by the business.
