Amazon Senior Product Manager - Tech, Automotive, Alexa Custom Assistant (ACA), Amazon Smart Vehicles in Seattle, Washington

The Amazon Alexa Automotive team is looking for a product leader to help drive our Alexa Custom Assistant (ACA) product — our Auto OEM-centric product offering a custom branded version of our LLM-powered Alexa experience. We’re looking for a PM lead our next generation Edge LLM products, as well as our efforts to drive LLM / locale expansion for our Custom Assistant product offering.

Our ideal candidate will have launched multiple, impactful products, and have deep understanding of product management, user experience, system design and software development, and partner management. You should be highly analytical, able to work and influence cross-functionally across multiple business units, and thrive in entrepreneurial, fast-paced environments.

Experience in automotive infotainment and/or voice is a plus but not a must-have (we welcome product managers from diverse backgrounds to our team as they bring fresh perspectives to our products). Experience in related AI fields is highly encouraged.

Key job responsibilities

  • Operate as PM lead on the projects where we work with the Artificial Generative Intelligence Sensory team

  • Auto PM lead for our next generation Edge Local Voice Controller product (powered by LLM), supporting our v2 launch and defining future iterations of our product strategy

  • Own our internal initiative to significantly expand locale coverage for our automotive products

  • Own a suite of our automotive custom / personalized voice enabler products

  • Define and drive delivery targets and operational excellence for your products


  • Lead product strategy and delivery in a customer and partner obsessed manner.

  • Define creative, high quality product requirements and roadmaps based on product strategy.

  • Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance & operational support requirements.

  • Create buy-in for product vision across internal partner teams as well as external OEM partners (incl senior leaders)

  • Work closely with science / engineering teams to deliver products to market using agile development methodologies.

  • Identify and resolve issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals

A day in the life

You will drive requirements and execution of features and experiences for our Auto AGI products, with an emphasis on ACA and Edge LLM. You will own product vision, synthesize customer and business requirements into product roadmaps, and launch new features from start to finish. You will be a champion of this product both internally to senior leadership as well as externally to the industry. You will work in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external strategic OEM partners, operating as product owner for these major strategic launches. You’ll sell-in your vision, collaborate on requirements, prioritize delivery, make strategic recommendations, and hold everybody to a high standard of excellence. A successful candidate will have a passion for designing delightful customer experiences, strong partner skills, and the entrepreneurial grit to get things done!

Our automotive products lead the way in delivering next generation in-vehicle digital experiences with the goal of reducing friction in our customers' lives, and helping to delight and simplify along the way. Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a startup is helpful, but not required.

  • Experience working in a B2B2C product is helpful, but not required.

  • Smart, passionate people, who are driven to build products that truly move the needle for customers.

  • Highly organized, and efficient communicators; demonstrated success building buy-in for bold visions.

  • Able to move fast, run lean, remain disciplined in both thought and execution, and continuously strive for growth / improvement.

  • Creative and self-motivated when finding solutions to uncertain challenges.

  • Somebody who makes everybody around them better. Somebody who people want to work with.

  • Successful history of shipping products that customers love.

  • Technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing architectural concepts, schedule tradeoffs and new opportunities with technical team members.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; strong bias towards data-based decision making and comfort with pro-forma financial and operational analysis.

  • Strong bias for action; willingness to roll up the sleeves and ability to juggle multiple priorities to create a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Personal passion for (and early adopter of) emerging technologies and committed to learning and expanding professional and technical knowledge.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
