Amazon Senior Technical Program Manager, Shopping Conversation Foundation in Seattle, Washington

Description

Our Shopping Conversation Foundations (SCF) organization is dedicated to revolutionizing the way customers interact with our products and services through cutting-edge conversational experiences powered by generative AI. Of interest, our team provides the following foundational capabilities for Rufus, Search, and Alexa Shopping businesses: (1) LLM Data (2) Automated CX Quality Metrics and Root Cause Analysis (3) LLM Infrastructure.

We do this by building multi-tenant, scalable, and extensible solutions that leverage large language models and generative AI to automate the evaluation of customer experiences. We're creating underlying services that offer cost-effective and secure inference solutions at scale, both offline and online.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with peer SDEs and drive the strategic roadmap for Shopping Conversation Foundations (SCF), including vision, mission, and technical strategy across Rufus, Search, and Alexa Shopping initiatives

  2. Lead complex cross-functional programs spanning ML/AI engineering, data science, and product teams; regularly present updates and manage escalations to senior leadership

  3. Orchestrate the development and deployment of LLM infrastructure, data pipelines, and automated CX quality measurement systems while ensuring scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness

  4. Establish and track program success metrics, oversee data-driven improvements, and lead root cause analysis initiatives for system issues

  5. Build and maintain strong partnerships across multiple organizations, managing dependencies and removing blockers to ensure successful program execution

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 3+ years of software development experience

  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
