In the early phases of a program, you will focus on assessing functional hazards, developing, and allocating safety and reliability requirements, and defining scope vital to develop a safe and reliable system. In later phases of development, you will manage safety and reliability validation and verification activities, assess safety and reliability impacts of engineering changes and nonconformance's, and ensure that design-specific safety and reliability mitigations are implemented effectively. In this role, you will have the opportunity to continue to engage with the product team well into component qualification, production, and vehicle system certification and operational phases of the program. This role reports to the Avionics Systems Engineering Manager as part of the Avionics Integrated Project Team. The role includes responsibility for tracking and analyzing key performance metrics for avionics systems throughout the development lifecycle and using those to optimize for manufacturability, quality and cost.
