Meta Software Engineer, Front End in Seattle, Washington

Summary:

Required Skills:

Software Engineer, Front End Responsibilities:

  1. Lead complex technical or product efforts involving many engineers

  2. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to peers

  3. Implement the features and user interfaces of Facebook products like News Feed

  4. Architect efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications

  5. Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to deliver compelling user-facing products

  6. Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 6+ years of JavaScript experience, including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6

  2. 5+ years of HTML/CSS experience, including concepts like layout, specificity, cross browser compatibility, and accessibility

  3. Experience with browser APIs and optimizing front end performance

  4. Experience building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design and unit testing techniques

  5. Demonstrated experience driving change within an organization and leading complex technical projects

  6. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.

Public Compensation:

$70.67/hour to $208,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
