TITLE:                          Software Engineer

EMPLOYER:                 Stripe, Inc.

DUTIES:                       Position is fully Remote.

                                        Develop scalable computer systems that manage a large volume of information and use them to fulfill business goals for Stripe and its partners; Design, implement and deploy adaptable rules systems that use this information to output internal assessments, perform scoring, and derive automated actions for mitigating financial risk and increase the efficiency of Stripe's global risk mitigation program; Design and build tools that ingest and process signals from various sources to make them more accessible for our partner teams; Participate in all parts of the software development workflow and see the projects through to completion, including their large-scale deployment; Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes; Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack; Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Stripe's engineering teams

LOCATION:                  Seattle, WA (and various unanticipated work locations across the U.S.)

REQUIREMENTS:         Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and 7 years of software engineering experience.

Position requires the following:

7 years of experience in building software solutions in Ruby and Java;

7 years of experience in designing, building, and maintaining scalable systems;

7 years of experience in translating business needs into software requirements and designs;

7 years of experience in debugging production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack;

7 years of experience with distributed systems;

1 year of experience with working in fintech services; and

1 year of experience with working on tax related technologies

SALARY:                      $221,000-$231,000/year and standard employee benefits.
