Amazon Sr Financial Analyst, NA B&M Gift Cards in Seattle, Washington

Description

The NA Gift Cards Team is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support the NA Brick & Mortar ‘B&M’ Gift Cards business. The individual will partner with the NA Corporate Gift Card team to provide timely analysis, insightful guidance, and financial leadership to this fast-growing part of the gift card organization. This includes working closely with the Gift Cards Leadership Team on the strategic direction, product offering, operations and investment decisions of the business. The right individual will have strong finance, analytical, and leadership skills. Individual should possess solid business judgment and be capable of driving the right results, including the ability to influence senior business leaders and to work cross-functionally with multiple finance and business teams including Accounting, Business Development, Product Management, Marketing and Operations.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own the P&L forecast and planning process including revenue, expenses, and downstream impacts

  • Develop the models to support new initiatives and products

  • Identify and report on initiatives to drive revenue and reduce cost

  • Develop and report on weekly and monthly financial and operational performance metrics

  • Analyze large data sets to generate additional insights into opportunities and risks

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of Tableau

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience

  • Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving

  • Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
