Key job responsibilities

Are you an analytical powerhouse with a knack for forecasting and strategy? Join our dynamic Forecasting & Strategy (FnS) team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization! As a Senior Forecasting Analyst, you'll be at the forefront of developing strategic forecasts for our headcount plans that drive the ad business forward. Leveraging advanced forecasting technology, data analysis models, and your exceptional analytical skills, you'll ensure we stay ahead of the curve. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business Intelligence, Finance, Product and Program Managers and L7+ Ops managers, to gather critical business inputs and translate them into actionable insights. Your expertise will be instrumental in maximizing forecast accuracy and delivering timely, data-driven recommendations. You'll also take the lead in communicating weekly performance metrics, identifying drivers of variance, and spotlighting emerging trends. Your ability to proactively identify and address potential challenges will be invaluable in driving continuous improvement and seizing new opportunities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field

  • 3+ years of data analysis experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in analytics or equivalent

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • 4+ years of supply chain, forecasting, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or vendor management experience

  • Knowledge of analytical tools (R or Python) for conducting data analysis

  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $57,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $123,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
