Our checkout-free shopping experience is made possible by our Just Walk Out Technology, which automatically detects when products are taken from or returned to the shelves and keeps track of them in a virtual cart. We’re looking for a talented, smart, and driven Senior Program Manager Sales & Operations (S&OP) and Capacity Planning. This person will spearhead deep dive analyses to plan inventory flows to and from our Fulfillment Centers (FCs), tiered supply chain network, and stores. You will be responsible for many of the store pieces including S&OP planning, capacity planning and automation work streams optimizing for reliability, cost and scalability. This position requires a comprehensive knowledge of technical products owned and influenced by S&OP, their value to Supply Chain Management, the ability to make trade-off decisions, and prioritize projects based on business impact.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead S&OP and Capacity Planning management for Go

  • Lead daily and weekly S&OP cycles with operational stakeholders

  • Optimize capacity for the business by balancing new programs, associate experience, operational flexibility, and cost effectiveness

  • Work with business teams to define requirements and high-level process/system solutions

  • Drive standardization of tools and processes to build scalable execution plans with operations team

  • Highlight misses, direct appropriate closure actions within supply chain

  • Provide critical thinking and influence cross functionally on streamlining processes within the overall Go Business

  • Communicate program and project status across a wide range of stakeholders and leadership levels

  • Define and implement process improvement recommendations and create self-service solutions where appropriate

  • Define, track and report program success metrics

  • Tackle quick wins and take ownership of deliverables under tight deadlines

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • 5+ years of supply chain experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
