Amazon Sr. Risk Manager, Identity and Access Management in Seattle, Washington

Description

We are looking for an experienced Risk Compliance Manager. In this position, you will drive investigation improvements through development and implementation of operational compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

You will also lead the identification, assessment, and monitoring of key operational risk indicators, areas of improvements, and recommend appropriate action. You will partner with numerous Amazon teams, including Legal, and more than 15 business, product, and policy teams.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the organization's IAM risk and compliance management through improvements in the investigations process.

• Coordinate the IAM risk and compliance assessment process to identify, analyze, and prioritize key risks and compliance requirements related to user access and entitlements

• Implement IAM risk mitigation and compliance strategies in collaboration with the IAM team and business stakeholders

• Monitor and report on the organization's IAM risk and compliance profile, including emerging risks, compliance issues, and trends

• Provide IAM risk and compliance management training and guidance to employees across the organization

• Collaborate with internal audit, legal, and other control functions to ensure a cohesive approach to IAM risk and compliance management

• Stay up-to-date on industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to IAM risk and compliance management

• Manage a team of IAM risk and compliance investigators, and coordinate their activities to support the IAM risk and compliance management program

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience developing and implementing of standards, policies and programs or equivalent

  • Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization to act without having a direct reporting relationship

  • Strong technical understanding of IAM concepts, technologies, and best practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification

  • Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent

  • Experience engaging with regulatory agencies in permit applications or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
