We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to focus on building and operating the scheduling systems used to develop and manufacture individualized medicines to combat cancer. We are seeking a skilled developer to join our team, helping to design and implement an advanced scheduling platform tailored to the needs of planning and scheduling the delivery of individualized cancer therapies. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop a system that optimizes resource allocation, reduces bottlenecks, and ensures the timely delivery of personalized therapies to patients. Your contributions will be integral to solving complex scheduling challenges in the supply chain, manufacture, and delivery of individualized medicines. Travel to Cambridge Massachusetts area is required. Here's What You'll Do: * Design, develop, and deploy scalable applications to solve finite scheduling challenges for individualized medicine. * Collaborate with product managers, manufacturing teams, and data scientists to define technical requirements and system architecture. * Implement robust scheduling algorithms that account for real-world constraints, including limited resources, materials, time-sensitive manufacturing processes. * Develop both front-end and back-end features to create an intuitive, user-friendly interface for managing scheduling tasks and tracking production timelines. * Integrate real-time data from manufacturing systems, supply chains, and patient needs (time til required dose, type of cancer) to optimize scheduling decisions. * Ensure the system meets regulatory and compliance requirements, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). * Continuously monitor system performance and refine algorithms to improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability. Here's What You'll Need: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). * Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, with proficiency in both front-end (e.g., React, Angular) and back-end (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java) technologies. * Strong experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP). * Expertise in building and managing event-driven architectures, with experience in Kafka, AWS Lambda, or similar technologies. * Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, including experience with Flux or similar tools, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes for scalable deployment. * Strong knowledge of service-based architectures and API management principles. * An expert-level individual contributor to the coding tasks assigned * Experience with scheduling algorithms or optimization problems, preferably in manufacturing or healthcare domains. * Understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly in pharmaceuticals or biotech, is a plus. * Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards in healthcare or manufacturing is highly desirable. * Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment. Under Washington State law, Moderna is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for the jobs covered by this description. Base compensation for these positions in Washington State range from $129,600.00 - $207,500.00 . Actual salary determinations will take into account factors such as work location, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge, and demonstrated skills.
