Job Information

Amazon Sr. UX Designer , Amazon in Seattle, Washington

Description

Are you looking for an opportunity to lead UX across a set of exciting features that will help personalize customers shopping experience using AI? If so, this role is for you!

As a Sr. UX Designer you will create simple, fluid, and delightful experiences that help customers discover and purchase relevant product across the store. You have an inventor’s spirit, refined visual aesthetic and the ability to communicate how we deliver the right experience with the right content to customers at the right time. You are obsessed with bar-raising customer experiences; you never settle for good enough, and continually inspire those around you to do better for the customer. You thrive when diving into unknown territory and invent simple, elegant solutions to complex challenges. Your work will focus on mobile first, but you should be passionate about expanding features to create true multi-device experiences that move with the customer from one device to another.

Key job responsibilities

In this role, you'll be responsible for leading a variety of initiatives that help to solve complex problems that close gaps or define opportunities for building a great discovery experience on Amazon. You'll create comprehensive design artifacts, including personas, wireframes, process flows, high-fidelity comps, and prototypes to test, evangelize and deliver your ideas. You'll work with our key partners, research, product owners and engineers to understand the customer need and deliver strategic design experiences. You'll ensure that design solutions consider market analysis, customer feedback, metrics, and usability findings. You'll bring strong, user-centered design skills and business knowledge to translate conceptual ideas into exceptional design solutions at scale. You'll collaborate and partner with other Shopping Design designers and leadership to evangelize the value and raise the visibility of design across Amazon.

A day in the life

As an ideal candidate, you believe "anything is possible” when faced with seemingly intractable problems. You’re proud of your work, your skills and expertise – but you’re not cynical, inflexible or only about your portfolio. You love being part of a highly collaborative and high-energy team that isn’t afraid to swing for the fences or exceed expectations even on tactical projects. You geek out over customer experience, tech and commerce and believe that no experience is perfect unless it delights customers in unexpected ways. You have demonstrated business acumen and believe in the power of strategic design to differentiate business and increase customer loyalty. You are a maker who believes the only way to sell your strategic vision is to craft exquisite design artifacts that tell the story of the customer experience.
