Amazon Supply Chain Manager, Private Brands, Hardlines Private Brands in Seattle, Washington

Do you want to shape a strategic investment area for Amazon? The Amazon Private Brands team is focused on developing high quality products designed to meet our customers’ everyday needs. We are looking for a passionate, data driven candidate to help us build a best-in-class supply chain to support our rapidly expanding global product portfolio. The Supply Chain Manager, Private Brands will manage operational performance of our US supplier base, identifying opportunities and implementing plans that improve the speed and flexibility of our supply chain, eliminate waste, and enable us to lower costs for our customers. We are looking for a candidate with excellent judgment, strong operating skills, and a drive for invention and process improvement.

This role interacts closely with global technology teams, quality, compliance, and sourcing business partners across Amazon, as well as external suppliers and logistics service providers. If you are comfortable working in an ambiguous environment, willing to roll up your sleeves and solve challenging problems, and enjoy the world of supply chain and logistics, this may be the role for you.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive root-cause analysis and reporting on operational issues, develop action plans and manage improvements across our US supplier base.

  • Coordinate with Amazon operations teams to trouble shoot and resolve supply chain issues.

  • Manage a collaborative planning process to secure inventory and mitigate risks of stock outs and supply disruptions.

  • Design and implement new processes to help scale the business.

Key job responsibilities

  • Understand forecasting and buying systems and audit them to maintain inventory health

  • Identify and resolve buying issues

  • Build reporting tools to assess and communicate inventory health

  • Work with supply chain teams in country of origin to solve for potential delays and disruptions

  • Ensure internal stakeholders, especially P&L owners, are well informed of inventory health and issues

  • Contribute to overall team effectiveness and efficiency through improving existing processes and introducing new ones where needed

  • Owning specific projects as needed

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • 2+ years of supply chain experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of defining and executing against program timeline & requirements experience

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $77,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
