Blue Origin LLC Technical Project Manager - Avionics Lab - Lunar Permanence (R39382) in Seattle, Washington

To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the Lunar Surface. As a Technical Project Manager you will work directly with all the Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to develop an avionics lab called the Vehicle Test Bed (VTB). The VTB will provide an environment to integrate the avionics and flight software for system development, verification, and validation. You will also work directly with NASA and our National Team Partners to develop avionics emulators for inter-element testing. You will perform project management functions across the entire product life cycle of the VTB and avionics emulators from research, design development, build, integration, and testing. You will assist in communicating status, risks & opportunities, variances, and recovery plans to engineering and program management. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain the work breakdown structure, the project schedule, and the resource plans (labor and non-labor) Perform strategic optimization analysis, including make-buy analysis, should-cost modeling, and VTB utilization forecast Collaborate with purchasing and supplier management to ensure timely delivery of lab hardware Collaborate with the IPTs to ensure timely delivery of vehicle hardware and software Identify risks and opportunities and to develop mitigation/realization plans Generate boards/tools necessary for reporting team status Perform scrum master role for product teams following agile development methods, including defining and completing team sprints Lead Tiger Teams when necessary Minimum Qualifications: B.S. degree in Engineering 5+ years in Aerospace, Automotive, Defense, Industrial, or similar industries, performing design and production of electrical assemblies. 5+ years of experience in technical program management leading integrated electrical, mechanical, firmware, and software engineering development projects, managing requirements, priorities, scope, schedule, and cost Experience with critical path scheduling, IMP/IMS, risk management, requirements management, and Cost Account Management such as EVM Experience with Agile project management and Jira Software Experience with MS Project, P6 Primavera, or similar Experience with supplier subcontracts Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills Track record of working optimally in multiple subject areas, and leading a diverse multi-disciplinary team. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment while regularly providing imaginative and detailed technical solutions to complex problems Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
