Carnival Cruise Line Trade Strategy Planning Analyst in Seattle, Washington

Job Description

We’re looking for an amazing sales professional to fill this role, which is based in our Seattle, WA or Miami, FL office. This is a hybrid, in-office role. You’ll work in person (in office) Tuesday to Thursday each week. You’ll be responsible for supporting end-to-end cross-functional projects that impact Trade Sales channels for both Holland America Line and Seabourn. Responsibilities include consolidating results, running reports, providing strategic insights, and leading analytical efforts across multiple projects. By conducting data queries and analyses using diverse data sources, the position identifies opportunities and provides recommendations to drive incremental revenue. Collaboration with key departments such as Revenue Planning, Revenue Management, Marketing, Finance, and IT is integral to success.

Here’s a summary of what Holland America Line is looking for in its Trade Strategy and Planning Analyst. Is this you?

Responsibilities

  • Supports projects from end-to-end across all phases in various categories impacting the North American and International Sales departments. Obtains an in-depth understanding of all Travel Agency commercial terms and contractual agreements including but not limited to providing periodic performance updates for select stakeholders and participating in the creation of ad hoc incentive plans.

  • Track and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies and projects, providing feedback and adjustments as needed to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Reports on key performance metrics, providing key insights into business trends and giving recommendations and participating in decision-making for new ideas/initiatives that can increase agency revenue performance.

  • Perform data queries and analytics Extracts data from multiple databases, consolidates results, and highlight trends to facilitate decision making.

  • Attends meetings and collaborates with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, STEM or related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 1 years of experience with analytics/project management /database management

  • Minimum 1 year of working on multidisciplinary teams in large corporations.

  • Some level of experience working with executives at a large firm

  • Attention to detail, accuracy, thoroughness, and a methodical process in performing work assignments are critical. Capable of effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously. Capable of developing and managing budgets.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt easily to change. Self-starter, team player and able to work independently.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate complex analysis across all levels of the organization in a simple and quickly understandable format with the appropriate amount of detail and explanation. Exceptional listening skills.

  • Critical Professional related Technical & Computer Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python or other coding preferred.

  • Executive presentation development and visualization.

  • Proactive and self-driven professional

  • Team player who prioritizes the team well-being above everything else

  • Base Salary Range: $59,200 – 79,900. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
