This is a full-time, career-track position, with a focus on providing stormwater and stream restoration design services under the direction of senior engineers and project managers, progressively growing into independent design and compliance services and eventually project and client management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Field activities at stormwater and stream restoration design project sites, including existing condition assessments, drainage system inventories, drainage basin ground truthing, staking for survey and geotechnical work, and infiltration testing support. Completing hydrologic and hydraulic calculations and modeling. Reviewing and using stormwater management and stream restoration design manuals. Reviewing and understanding state and federal stormwater regulations. Completing analyses and preparing conceptual stormwater and stream restoration designs in GIS. Preparing stormwater conveyance and treatment system designs and specifications. Preparing stormwater and stream restoration construction plans and details in AutoCAD. Understanding and applying stormwater treatment technologies for particular sites. Preparing engineering and construction cost estimates. Writing technical submittals and reports. Providing project construction management support. Education and Licensure Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or water resources engineering or related field. (required) Advanced degree in civil, environmental, or water resources engineering or related field. (preferred) Washington State PE registration, or ability to obtain by comity (required) Skills, Experience and Qualifications At least 7 years of experience in engineering and design work on stormwater projects and ample experience applying stormwater management and design manuals in relation to years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
