Description

  • Prepares food in accordance with established menu, special diets.

  • Makes only authorized food substitutions.

  • Insures food items are served at correct times to insure high nutritive quality, flavor, and appearance.

  • Uses proper methods and cooking temperatures to prevent contamination and spoilage.

  • Assures food and supplies for the next meal are readily available.

  • Prepares food in sufficient quantities to cover all meal requirements.

  • Assists in placing order for food items as dairy, bakery, and produce.

  • Exhibits good working knowledge of equipment operation and proper cleaning procedures.

  • Properly uses chemicals on equipment.

  • Properly thaws food to prevent spoilage and contamination.

  • Properly stores leftovers to prevent spoilage and contamination.

  • Assists in food preparation of special meals for parties, etc...

  • Assists in establishing food service production line and insuring smooth flow of line.

  • Assists in maintaining food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner.

  • Cleans work tables, meat block, refrigerators / freezers, etc...

  • Sweeps and mops floors in designated areas.

  • Insures soiled utensils are delivered to wash area in a timely and appropriate manner.

  • Insures proper cleaning of eating and cooking utensils.

  • Properly stores all equipment, pots, pans, dishes, and utensils.

  • Insures steam table temps and cold service temps are accurate and appropriate.

  • Insures food items are available for food preparation by making trips to store when necessary.

  • Maintains working knowledge of food preparation (i.e. follows recipes).

Compensation for roles at Azure Acres varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Azure Acres provides a reasonable hourly range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California set forth below.

Role Location: Sonoma County, California

Calculated Hourly Range for role:California: $17.92 - $25.09 per hour
