Description We are seeking a Tax Preparer based in Sebastopol, California to join our team. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity with a focus on tax preparation. As a Tax Preparer, your responsibilities will be centered around preparing and reviewing tax returns, working with various software systems, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, fiduciaries, and partnerships using Lacerte Tax Software

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems and Microsoft Excel for financial record keeping and documentation

• Provide exceptional customer service while handling inquiries about tax preparation

• Deductible calculation and documentation as part of tax preparation process

• Work in a team environment with our professional service staff

• Adhere to tax preparation deadlines and work within a specific schedule

• Maintain accurate customer records and ensure confidentiality of financial information

• Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely manner

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Maintain a high level of knowledge about tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate tax preparation. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential

• Familiarity with Drake Tax Software and Lacerte Tax Software is required

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are necessary

• Excellent Customer Service skills are a must

• Knowledge of Deductible, Documentation, and Financial Records is crucial

• Prior experience in Tax Preparation is required

• Previous experience as a Tax Preparer is necessary
