This role sits within the rapidly growing Products and Platforms (P&P) practice at EY. Think of Products and Platforms as a start-up with backing of EY’s brand and depth. The opportunity

We are seeking a Business Analyst to support the Strategy & Operations arm of P&P and report to the Chief Business Architect/Strategy & Operations lead on the core P&P executive team. You will be responsible for supporting the America’s CNS Lead’s vision and strategy, ensuring overall strategy and operations are running smoothly with the Chief Business Architect/S&O Lead. This role will play a crucial role in supporting strategic initiatives (like the product intake process), streamlining operations, and enabling data-driven decision-making; this role requires a strong mix of analytical skills, strategic thinking, project management, and effective communication to support both the day-to-day and long-term objectives of the organization.

Join our Technology team as a Staff member in Technology Strategy, where you'll have the chance to work on transformative projects that align with our organization's strategic objectives. You'll be responsible for managing timelines, costs, and quality to provide assurance to leadership. By participating in client working sessions and supporting sales opportunities, you'll contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional client service.

Your key responsibilities

In this role, you'll be at the forefront of delivering technology solutions that drive our business forward. You'll spend your time:

  • Defining and executing deliverables.

  • Engaging in significant interactions with project teams and clients to define project deliverables.

  • Supporting opportunities for additional services and providing support for RFP responses.

  • Actively participating in client working sessions.

  • Submitting data for engagement economics and managing delivery of technology transformation projects.

Skills and attributes for success

To excel in this role, you'll need a combination of technical knowledge and soft skills. Here are some of the key attributes we're looking for:

  • Ability to manage project timelines, costs, and quality effectively.

  • Experience in leading both technical and non-technical project teams.

  • Specialized knowledge in project and program delivery methods, including Agile and Waterfall.

  • Proven ability to propose solutions to technical constraints and anticipate system bottlenecks.

  • Commitment to contributing to the delivery of processes, solutions, and/or projects.

  • Assist in developing and executing the team’s short-term and long-term strategies

  • Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend process improvements

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and document efficient workflows

  • Support strategic initiatives from concept to execution

  • Track project milestones, timelines and risks, ensuring adherence to deadlines

  • Create project documentation and reports to communicate progress and outcomes to stakeholders

  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to address emerging business questions or challenges

  • Supporting leadership in making informed decisions by providing relevant insights and analysis

  • Flexibility to navigate through multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience

  • Experience in managing the delivery of technology transformation projects.

  • Expertise in leading project teams in the development and implementation of technology solutions.

  • Coaching skills to guide others on project delivery methods and enabling technologies.

  • Analytical skills to propose solutions and anticipate challenges in the system development cycle.

  • Accountability for delivering work and meeting targets that impact the immediate team.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Ability to apply discretion using general guidelines to interpret unusual circumstances.

  • Experience working on problems of moderate to diverse scope where analysis of data is required.

  • Judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

What we offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $69,000 to $113,700. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $82,700 to $129,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
