Stericycle, Inc Truck Driver Non CDL Local Routes in Secaucus, New Jersey
Position Purpose:
Shred-it Secaucus, NJ is hiring for a Route Box Truck Driver (Non CDL). You will be responsible for taking care of all customer document destruction needs, including transporting supplies and materials. This involves loading and unloading the delivery vehicle and ensuring that all cargo is safely secured before transport.
Key Job Activities:
- Drive & Operate a Non CDL Box Truck in a safe and efficient manner.
- Swap out full bin of confidential information with an empty at customer location and wheel to Shred-it Box Truck.
- Maintains a high level of security when emptying consoles and/or collection totes by ensuring all documents are retrieved and the consoles/containers are securely locked. Services accounts using a hand-held device, ensuring console/containers are barcoded, locations are up to date, and the accuracy of type and quantity of consoles/containers.
- Manages assigned routes ensuring customers’ confidential material collected and serviced in a timely and accurate manner.
- Complies with all local, state and federal laws governing driver fitness and hours of service. Complete and maintain DOT logs when applicable.
- Performs pre-trip, post-trip checks, and driver check-in on assigned truck, prior to leaving or closing for the day. Reports any maintenance problems to Transportation/Dispatcher for follow-up.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities, as needed.
Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Drivers Lic.
- Clean driving record required.
- Ability to obtain & maintain a DOT Med Card.
- At least 1 year of route driving experience preferred.
- Must be able to operate a hand held device.
