TREE TOP INC Lean Facilitator- Support Functions in Selah, Washington

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: This Lean Facilitator is an internal staff resource to the management team, supervisors, and employee groups working on Lean and continuous improvement projects. This position implements and supports actions that are developed to reduce variation, eliminate waste, reduce errors and redundancy, improve and enhance the experience of employees, customers, and suppliers. The facilitator's general duties will include participating in the design of the processes, training managers, supervisors, staff, and employees in the use of problem-solving tools, assisting managers and supervisors in the preparation and evaluation of Lean meetings, enabling problem solving groups to be more effective, and auditing the effectiveness of the Lean improvement process. The facilitator is responsible for administrative tasks during Lean meetings and activities. The facilitator must have training in lean, six-sigma, continuous improvement me, Toyota production system, or similar approaches to continuous improvement. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: This position reports to the Vice President of Operations and does not supervise staff., As part of a team of facilitators, this position works closely with company leadership, managers, supervisors, admin and hourly staff. QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY: KNOWLEDGE OF: Principles and practices of statistical and financial analysis. Principles and practices of Lean manufacturing tools and methods. Principles and practices of project development and administration. Pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes, and regulations. ABILITY TO: Effectively lead small groups and teams through problem-solving processes to favorable outcomes. Manage and coordinate a variety of projects, with diverse project teams, to successful outcomes. Readily gain cooperation and influence teams through discussion and using solid analysis. Identify, research, and analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, and project outcomes of proposed solutions. Develop metrics, processes, and reports to measure Lean project outcomes. Effectively organize, plan, and execute. Use computers and computer software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION/LICENSES, AND TRAINING: A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience. Experience with Lean, Six-Sigma, TOC (Theory of Constraints) and/or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred. Participation in Tree Top led Lean Facilitator training.
