Chris Preble is working with a for profit client of his in Seneca Falls. This organization is looking for someone who wants vertical advancement. There's a clear 8 year or so plan to have the Assistant Controller move up through a few promotions to ultimately be the CFO. As you know, not every company can provide that type of advancement. Responsibilities will include:

• Assist in managing all aspects of the general ledger, including month-end and year-end close processes.

• Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely and accurate processing.

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic planning.

• Conduct financial analysis and reporting to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.

• Help develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and internal controls.

• Assist with external audits.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support company initiatives and projects.

  Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or MBA (or in progress) is an asset.

• Proficiency in accounting software

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
