• 8 hours per day

• Flexible hours between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm.

*JOB SUMMARY:  *

• The School Police Officer will provide for the safety and welfare of students and faculty on school grounds; observing personnel and or visitors; enforcing district policies; investigating incidents that have potential impact on the general well- being of students, personnel and visitors; supporting campus activities, provide instruction in crime prevention and drug awareness/prevention.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Have graduated from the PA State Police Academy and have been employed as a State Trooper with the PA State Police or successfully complete the Basic School Resource Officer course offered by the National Association of School Resource Officers

• Must hold annual firearms certification

• Must have current Act 34, 151 and FBI Clearances

• Attend annual in-service training approved by the Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission
