Join us and let's Imagine a better way together. Position Summary: The Digital Pressroom Manager oversees all aspects of the Digital Printing department. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Directs Digital Print Operators activities to meet customer requirements of quality, quantity and scheduling. Meets material, waste and spoilage standards. Achieves a high level of employee efficiency and morale through leadership and the use of sound management and human relations principles. Assigns work and determines scheduling. Establishes detailed working procedures that are followed on all shifts. Establishes clearly defined areas of responsibility for all team members and holds them accountable for the results. Organizes effective training programs to upgrade and advance individuals as fast as openings develop. Enforces strict adherence to maintenance routines and demands standards of order and cleanliness in the pressroom area. Assures the proper reporting of time and material by printroom employees. Develops and maintains an inventory system on all printroom related materials and supplies. Responsible for conducting regular departmental meeting to communicate and inform employees of departmental issues, procedural changes, company/departmental goals & results, etc. Keeps abreast of technical developments that may affect press efficiency and profitability. When requested, directly consults with and advises various company personnel. Provides advisory support to the Sales force on technical and capacity capabilities of the pressroom. Provides supporting information to Estimators. Provides advice and direction to those in production planning on any specifications, questions or problems. Sees that safety training protocol is followed. Performs other duties as requested. Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversees Digital Printing Department Minimum Qualifications: Direct supervisory skills & experience including conducting performance reviews. College or technical degree in related field and/or equivalent experience of 5 to 10 years Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated skills in leadership, organization and communication. Strong oral/written communications skills. Mechanically inclined. Basic Math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers and fractions. Effective interpersonal skills. Knowledge of company policies and procedures Knowledge of production materials. Knowledge of quality methods and techniques. Knowledge of equipment for safety, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. Ability to anticipate problems and create solutions. Demonstrate positive safety attitude. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push and pull up to 100 lbs. Ability to visually inspect all work for defects. Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping. Manual dexterity for repetitive work. Frequent walking and standing. The national pay range for thi role is $80,000 - $100,000 per year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In additional to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
