Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) teams! Position Summary: Be part of our Same Day Surgery Center Team in Shakopeewith occasional travel to other Same Day Surgery Center(s) as needed. We are looking for team members to support our growing services, with opportunities to provide patient care in our Surgery Center(s). We have a fast-paced multi-specialty Surgical Center. Our team is looking for candidates with a positive outlook and ability to work well on a team. The Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) serves as a resource for unit nursing staff, allied health departments, medical staff, patients, and visitors by assisting with patient care coordination, providing information, giving direction, securing assistance and resources, and troubleshooting. This is done in a manner, which reflects the vision, mission, and philosophy of nursing and Park Nicollet Health Services. The Health Unit Coordinator is expected to provide exceptional customer service. Check in patients for day of surgery Prepare charts Coordinate with clinic schedulers Collaborate with Pre op nurses to ensure that the required preparation is completed for our patients prior to the day of surgery. Administration duties for the department. Work Schedule: 1.0 FTE (Full-time) / Days Variable Start Times Variable Shift Lengths Rotating Late Shifts Occasional travel to alternate sites per rotation Preferred Qualifications: A High School graduate preferred. Completion of a Health Unit Coordinator program preferred. Previous customer service experience, medical terminology and keyboarding skills is preferred.
