Summary About the Position: This is a TERM NTE 2 years position as a Senior Cost Analyst with US Army Central G8 Resource Management Section Management, Shaw AFB, SC. Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment, or change to lower grade not to exceed 2 years by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Position may be made permanent without further competition. Responsibilities Utilizes available historical data pertaining to the organization's budgets and programs in forecasting annual funding needs. Interprets and assesses the impact of new and revised Congressional legislation on the formulation and execution of budgets. Proposes revisions of plans when major unforeseen events such as changes in requirements, budgetary and personnel limitations and economic conditions occur. Compiles standard level user costs and cost estimates for contractor expenses quantitatively attributable to reimbursable services provided to other organizations. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Designing cost management processes and costing methodologies to recognize, determine, accumulate, and report costs of activities; 2) Serving as a technical point of contact (POC) for financial management systems to include General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), Standard Operation and Maintenance Army Research and Development System (SOMARDS), Resource Management Online (RM), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), or equivalent financial systems; and 3) Providing guidance concerning the legal and regulatory aspects of the acquisition and use of funds for program and administrative purposes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
