CHARLIE'S COUNTY MARKET Bakery Manager in SHAWANO, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Direct and manage all functions and activities of Bakery Department to achieve sales and profit goals. Essential Job Functions: 1. Along with Store Manager work out localized merchandising plans for departments. 2. Control quality of product. 3. Follow approved Bakery Department plans for effective space management based on movement, consumer demand and profitability. 4. Order merchandise and control inventory to minimize out-of-stocks and overstocks and to maximize sales. 5. Follow approved procedures for receiving product, price marking and restocking cases, to insure quality protection, accuracy and product rotation. 6. Control department expenses. 7. Take action to control shrinkage and pilferage losses. 8. Effectively supervise other Baker Department personnel. 9. Insure favorable department image with customers through a clean, attractive and friendly department. 10. Follow all company policies and procedures. 11. Maintain and submit required records and reports. 12. Maintain good communication in store and throughout the organization. 13. Insure compliance to company\'s Sanitation, Safety and Security Program. 14. Insure compliance to local, state and government weights and measure laws. 15. Greet all customers to our store and be observant. 16. Fill in bakery production book daily. 17. Control baking through and with the production book. 18. Maintain sales to less than 5% of retail sales. 19. Maintain gross profit per the company goal. 20. Enforce all company open date policies. 21. Maintain table promotions program. 22. Train, schedule and supervise bakers. 23. Have and maintain all varieties of product that are standard in the Bakery Department. 24. Select items for the weekly ad. 25. Maintain a neat personal appearance according to the company\'s dress code policy. Supplemental Job Functions: 1. Observe local conditions and competitive activity relating to the Bakery Department and keep others informed. 2. Maintain full shelves in your bakery. 3. Assist in baking. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 1. High school education minimum required. 2. At least two years\' experience in the supermarket industry working as baker. 3. Must have strong oral and written communication skills for dealing with customers, employees and vendors. 4. Ability to unload, transport and place merchandise to the specified areas. 5.
