    Early Childhood Program Coordinator

    Contract Length: 220 Days

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with the appropriateBOEE license.

  • Experience working with young children in an early childhood setting.

  • Knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early childhood

    education.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teachers,

  • parents, and administrators.

  • Special education experience preferred.

    Job Duties:

  • Collaborate with staff to design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum

    aligned with state standards and best practices.?

  • Evaluate instructional materials and activities to support children's learning across

    developmental domains.

  • Provide ongoing professional development opportunities for early childhood educators.

  • Observe classroom practices and coach teachers to improve their teaching skills and

    ensure consistency in curriculum delivery across classrooms.

  • Assist with managing difficult behaviors in the classroom.

  • Aid in staff recruitment, hiring, and training.

  • Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and development.

  • Organize parent events, workshops, and conferences to promote family involvement in

    their child's learning.

  • Provide support and guidance to parents on early childhood development.

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to early childhood

    education.

  • Complete related reports for grants and state and federal programs.

  • Promote the program by conducting tours, creating promotional materials, making

    presentations, and representing the district’s program in professional settings.

  • Actively recruit new students.

  • Collaborate with the District Registrar to ensure student enrollment and data collection

    procedures are followed.

  • Analyze data to identify areas of improvement and recommend necessary adjustments

    to the program.

  • ?Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on current trends

    in early childhood education.

  • Work with other school staff, administrators, and community partners to coordinate

    services for children.

  • Develop partnerships and work collaboratively with Head Start, local early childhood

    programs, daycares, and service providers.

  • Support the Child Find process and Early ACCESS for children ages birth to 3 in

    collaboration with the AEA system.

  • Assist with the MTSS process and the development and implementation of interventions.

  • Lead the Student Assistance Team (SAT) and pre-referral Special Education diagnostic

    evaluation process.

  • Coordinate the after-school childcare program and ensure all DHS requirements are

    met.

  • Meet with the Student Services team monthly.

  • Develop and implement a transition process for students entering school-age programs

    in collaboration with administration and program staff.

  • Coordinate transportation needs for the program.
