POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Manufacturing Engineer at KMG, you will play a critical role in improving manufacturing processes, enhancing product quality, and increasing efficiency within our production facilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize manufacturing systems and processes.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods and processes.
  • Analyze and plan workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Collaborate with design engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
  • Conduct time studies and motion analysis to optimize production efficiency.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to improve process capabilities.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of buildings and equipment.
  • Develop and implement process control techniques and procedures into manufacturing environments.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and provide technical support to production teams.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for production problems and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce costs.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for layout and design.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience with time studies, motion analysis, and workflow optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
