Job Title: Shop Helper

Job Description

The Shop Helper performs essential labor tasks across various production shop areas. Responsibilities include cleaning up, handling materials, assisting in equipment operations, replenishing materials, moving products for production use, and maintaining cleanliness in work areas. The role also involves assessing assembly diagrams, assembling components as directed, and completing tasks efficiently while keeping the work area orderly. This will eventually lead to a long term welding position.

Hard Skills

  • Experience in Manufacturing, Construction, Machine Shop, or Weld Shop environment

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to wear a respirator

  • Ability to assess assembly diagrams

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Soft Skills

  • Adapts quickly

  • Efficient task management

  • Maintains cleanliness and order

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 18 Week(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in SHERWOOD, Oregon.

Work Environment

This is a day shift position, operating from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Thursday, and 6:00 AM to 10:30 AM on Friday. The work environment involves standing, walking, sitting, and using hands for various tasks. It may be wet and/or humid with exposure to moving mechanical parts. The role regularly requires lifting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds.
