TSI Incorporated Field Service Technician in Shoreview, Minnesota

Field Service Technician at TSI The primary duties of the Field Service Technician are to provide onsite and remote support for a variety of instruments in TSI's Particle measurement portfolio. Support types include routine maintenance as well as break/fix support. Most break/fix activities start with telephone troubleshooting, but could lead to on site or return to factory repair. This position will have heavy customer contact and could include application support for the customer's use of the instrument What Will You Do? In order to grow and build a successful career with TSI, you will be responsible for: * Provide field service and support by traveling to TSI customers' sites to install, calibrate, repair, and perform annual maintenance on TSI's products. * Answer technical questions and trouble shoot for customers regarding products and technologies in person at customer sites. Additionally, will be part of an escalation path to answer similar questions on the phone. * Support remote and on-site troubleshooting of customer hardware and software issues. * Order and stock support parts as needed for the installation, repair and maintenance appointments. * Conduct limited training to customers for the operation and maintenance of equipment & software. * Assist with in-house technical workshops, set up systems for demos, etc. * Provide feedback used for developing, revising and updating service procedures and related documentation in the TSI system. * Provide input for new product/technology development. * Complete thorough trip reports and accurately submit reimbursements for labor and expenses. What Do You Need? Required * An Associate's degree in electronics or 3-5 years related experience. * The ability to obtain a valid passport. * Must have the ability to travel to and conduct business in North America, South America and Canada. Desired * Bachelor's Degree in a technical field. * Field or technical support experience in a business setting is desired. What Can We Give You?
