Minimum Qualifications

  • The candidate must have a broad understanding of the various educational levels of nursing and allied health.

  • Experience in nursing or allied health preferred.

  • Five years of experience in clerical work/office management, specifically working within Microsoft office programs including MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Excel.

  • Undergraduate educational degree required.

Job Concepts

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing clerical guidance and personal assistance to the Director of the MSN/PMC Programs in the management of daily operations.

  • Serving as liaison between The Graduate School and the College of Nursing and School of Allied Health Ensuring that all required personnel, budget, and travel files are kept up-to-date, organized, and readily available to meet State, University and accreditation body requests.

  • Managing the ordering of necessary supplies to maintain day-to-day operations of the MSN/PMC Programs.

  • Creating and submitting all required contractual paperwork each semester for adjunct faculty contracts; Professional Service Contracts; Extra Service Contracts; Continuing Education contracts; Affiliation Agreements, and Employee Hire packets.

  • Ensuring that all new employee interviews, documentation, and paperwork for NSU and Louisiana State Board of Nursing are submitted in a timely manner.

  • Complete other duties as deemed essential by the Director of MSN/PMC Programs, Senior Director of Nursing, Dean of the College of Nursing and School of Allied Health or designee.
