Eversource Energy Communications Specialist, Video Broadcast Services in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts

Role and Scope of Position:

Provides audio and video direction and guidance to all Eversource organizational units. Serves as an advisor and consultant to management for video production and broadcast initiatives.

Essential Functions:

  • Plans, develops, coordinates and executes audio and video production.
  • Participates in and/or leads assigned audio-video instructional design projects and develops, recommends and executes appropriate strategies.
  • Manages financials to achieve positive business results in alignment with department objectives.
  • Responsible for the operation and maintenance of Eversource’s internal television network (ETV).
  • Help capture initial stakeholder requests, brainstorm/ concept solutions contribute to scriptwriting and overall storytelling, assist in presenting clear ideas, incorporate feedback, and manage assigned projects.
  • Translate institutional messages into intriguing visual stories, both in-studio and on location.
  • Pack and transport equipment, including cameras, tripods, lighting, microphones, and other associated equipment to filming locations as needed.
  • Still photography — portraits and headshots, equipment/products, special events, and depicting environments (e.g. office/work center facilities, special projects, meetings, etc.).
  • Video — scripted videos, unscripted interviews or panel discussions, integrated videos combining live action with motion graphics or 3D animation, general B-roll footage.
  • Curate a strong gallery of images and video content that reflect the brand.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills required to maintain positive work relationships with photo/video subjects, co-workers, managers and executive leadership, as well as external partners
  • Keep current on the latest trends, technology and tools.
  • Demonstrate a highly organized work style to work independently, prioritize/execute multiple projects at one time and meet deadlines with a strong attention to detail.

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

  • Technical experience with audio and video tools
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills
  • Strategic and tactical project management skills
  • Ability to anticipate, define and direct solutions to complex and/or unusual issues related to video production.
  • Demonstrated skill with MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work effectively with various levels within the organization and with external counterparts.
  • Ability to influence decisions based upon area of expertise.
  • Working knowledge of editing platforms including Premiere Pro, and/or Final Cut Pro.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Working knowledge of video/photography styles and equipment.
  • Knowledge and experience in working with drone aerial footage.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a discipline relevant to videography or equivalent experience

Experience :

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience, if non-degreed, must demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years of related experience shooting, editing, and posting high-quality video and photography.
  • Prior experience in corporate video production strongly preferred.
  • Candidates should provide link to portfolio samples showcasing examples of photography, videography, and video editing.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.

Eversource Energy offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $109,000-$121,000/year, plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Please check our career site for an overview of our benefits.
