The Role -

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking anEngineering Technicianto work out of its state-of-the-art facility inSidney, NY.

TheEngineering Technicianwill be responsible for creation of nominal solid models to support manufacturing. Responsible for the incorporation of models into existing drawings and assembly models through Creo and WindChill. Responsible for the improvement in quality of the MSQPL product drawings. Provide technical and administrative support to Product and Process Engineering teams.

Onsite, hybrid option may be available following training period.

The key responsibilities of theEngineering Technicianinclude, but are not limited to:

  • Engineering Systems support

  • Support /backup for the preparation and verification of 3D models in support of Marketing.

  • Other global and specific administrative and technical support for Engineering Product teams.

  • Support efforts to maintain and update Creo/Windchill.

  • Work with our international partners to enhance quality of MSQPL drawings and models.

  • Support/Coordinate our efforts to utilize Engineering Services from India

  • Support Amphenol Mesa with Nominal models.

  • Support Amphenol Aerospace (Sidney) with nominal solid models.

  • Learn SigMaxim to provide backup for Customer Model creation

Salary: $42,000 - $65,000

Location -

  • Sidney, NY

  • 30 Minute Drive from Binghamton, NY

  • 20 Minute Drive from Oneonta, NY

The Person -

The key skills and qualities of anEngineering Technicianat Amphenol Aerospace Operations:

  • AAS Degree in appropriate discipline or equivalent education/experience plus 2-4 years of job experience

  • Experience with Engineering Systems, specifications and procedures, personal computer usage and the Microsoft Office suite of applications is required.

  • Working knowledge of Military/Aerospace electrical connectors and relevant specifications is desirable.

  • Working knowledge of Creo and Windchill is required.

  • Responsible for creation of nominal solid models to support manufacturing.

  • Responsible for the incorporation of models into existing drawings and assembly models through Creo and WindChill.

  • Responsible for the improvement in quality of the MSQPL product drawings.
