Job Summary The delivery of ready-mix concrete to a designated jobsite in a safe and efficient manner Main Responsibilities Perform a daily pre-trip inspection of assigned vehicle. This requires climbing up, on and over unit to verify if all hydraulic and or airlines are in proper working order. May be required to add the vital fluids to the reservoirs on the unit. Preform preventative maintenance on assigned vehicle in the way of cleaning inside and outside of mixer drum and cab. Monitor visually and audibly all functions of assigned unit and report all problems. Push or pull levers to turn mixer drum and dump contents Move hand and foot controls to move truck forward and backward to aid in the placement of concrete Ensures deliveries are made according to the job's specifications and in a timely manner. Responsible for maintaining and using the appropriate attire and personal protective equipment (PPE) while working. Communicates efficiently, effectively, and politely with customers to ensure the precise handling of the product delivered. Maintains a good working relationship with all company personnel to certify the customer is satisfied. Portrays a positive and accommodating demeanor towards peers, managers, and customers. All other duties or special projects as assigned by management Skills Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) DOT Physical Card Acceptable driving record Drug and alcohol free Vision must be acceptable for day and night driving Willingness to work weekends and long hours during peak season Physical Requirements Able to lift or move up to 65 pounds Able to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl Physical strength must be enough to climb in and out of a truck throughout the workday, carry chutes, and carry out any task that may be assigned to you.
