The Product Environmental Compliance Operations position is responsible for developing processes and procedures that will allow Copeland businesses to be compliant to environmental law and reinforce our market position. A key aspect of this position is communicating and collaborating with Copeland businesses and our global teams, on processes to strengthen our compliance position globally. You will define clear language for global product teams regarding expectations, processes and deliverables required for compliance to global environmental law. You will work hand in hand with our global Product Environmental Compliance teams in Cluj, Romania and Manila, Philippines and the Strategic Sustainability and Environmental teams.

As a Product Environmental Compliance Operations Analyst, You Will:

  • Become the subject matter expert for Copeland business processes and procedures as related to Product Environmental Compliance activities

  • Work in tandem with Copeland Strategic Sustainability teams to understand regulation or law requirements and implement processes and procedures at the business level.

  • Guide the new product process through cross functional teams (R&D, engineering, testing, procurement, operations, sales and marketing) and oversee the execution of the overall business plan throughout various phases of PPAP and NPD

  • Develop and integrate systems for collaboration and sharing between business unit functions, entities and regions.

  • Create seamless and integrated processes and procedures as related to Copeland business market mapping and compliance risk evaluation.

  • Day to day collaboration with Copeland Manila regarding activities related to processes, procedures, team development and quality assurance.

  • Ensure the accuracy of compliance records as they relate to the law such as customer-facing declarations, and/ or direct communications.

  • Manage and support all related activities associated with New Product Development, PPAP / Pre-Production work; ultimately supporting Copeland businesses and Manila.

  • Lead and support any activities associated with the Copeland PEC data / supplier / law system or systems.

  • Support business systems and business teams to develop processes supporting the implementation and submission of global law requirements.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or operations, plus one year of business experience, co-op experience will be considered

  • Strong engineering or operations background with product development experience, a solid understanding of supply chain procedures and practices, and a basic understanding of manufacturing processes.

  • Ability to communicate well, both written and orally, and to make effective large group presentations.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and professional ambition require.

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, from senior executives to plant personnel.

  • Ability to travel between 10% and 15% for the position.

  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • 3+ years of engineering, business or operations experience

  • Proven experience with data & analytics and project management

  • Robust understanding of Copeland sales, marketing, and supply chain or experience with large business processes in the same areas.

  • Considerable understanding of global environmental compliance related law or regulations.
