Join our dynamic team in Sidney, Ohio at our Wet Ones manufacturing plant! The Quality Specialist will ensure continuing excellence and compliance in the Quality System, supporting and as liaison between Operations and Planning. This position will perform work that is crucial to the control, security, and integrity of documents and data that is used in the review and release of Edgewell Personal Care’s products. This position is responsible for conducting routine tasks within the Quality Assurance program comprised of data review and conformation of results against known standards. Polished communication and decision skills are essential for this position.
This position will have daily on-site presence at the facility, with some flexibility on Friday afternoons.
Essential Functions:
Batch release, including batch record review
Ensures data collected during testing and manufacturing is accurate and complete
Issues nonconformance related to documents and products
Generates certificates of analysis for products when applicable
Aids in the development of procedures and routing in PLM
Responsible for Material Review Board meeting and tracking material on Block/Reject
Promotes and exercises good documentation practices in hard copy and electronic records
Communicates any unexplained discrepancies or deviations to applicable supervisor, and quality assurance colleagues to ensure proper investigation is conducted and documented
Performs records management and record retention activities for documents and quality standards
Provide guidance to the plant where needed in regard to Edgewell quality systems and processes
Participate in quality event investigations as needed
Back up as needed with other quality personnel in Sidney
Ensure to meet FDA (Federal and Drug Administration) USP (United States Pharmacopeia) ICH (International Council for Harmonization) and any other regulatory guidance to maintain Change Control, Investigations, APRs (Annual Product Review) and other QA (Quality Assurance) systems
Champion the quality culture and build outstanding partnerships with Operations and QA based on mutual candor and continual bidirectional learning
Assist and participate with audits and audit readiness in Sidney and Suppliers nonconformances
Education and Experience:
3 - 5 years of experience in a regulated business, or Bachelor’s Degree and less than 1 year of experience
Working knowledge of regulated industry standards such as 21 CFR Part 820, 21 CFR Part 210 & 211, CFR 21 part 11
Experience with SAP, Trackwise, PLM, and eBatch a plus
Key competency skills in organizing, peer relationship, time management, customer focus, problem solving, integrity and trust, flexibility, and initiative
Environmental, Health and Safety Responsibilities:
Be aware of and follow the Environmental Policy and EH&S work instructions/procedures that apply to the job.

Assist in investigating incidents as directed by your supervisor.
Take necessary actions to correct or stop any unsafe conditions or practices.
Actively participate in safety meetings and training
Review Material Data Sheet instructions before working with any chemical product
Quality Assurance Responsibilities:
Colleagues are responsible for their own quality and that of colleagues within their span of control.
Colleagues are responsible to follow all established Quality procedures and instructions.
Notify supervision for corrective action if and when defects are found and/or parts/processes do not conform to specifications.
The salary range for this position is $48,000 - $72,000. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
