Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the Financial Services industry, located in Signal Hill, California. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting activities, including managing customer transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting HR administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and validate wire transactions.

• Handle accounts payable and receivable tasks efficiently.

• Perform monthly account reconciliations and accruals.

• Participate in month-end close activities and prepare journal entries.

• Manage and balance ATM transactions.

• Oversee the administration of benefit packages.

• Assist in payroll processing for a mid-size team.

• Collaborate with outside auditors.

• Write procedures and generate reports to monitor employee files.

• Participate in the training of other team members. Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant of at least two years within the Financial Services industry.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.

• Demonstrated ability in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience in Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and Journal Entries.

• Proficiency in executing Month End Close processes.

• Familiarity with Benefit Packages and Benefits Administration.

• Experience in handling Cash Transactions and Accounting Entries.

• Ability to perform Month-end Close Activities, Month-end Journal Entries, and Month-end Reports.

• Experience in Monthly Account Reconciliation and Monthly Accruals.

• In-depth understanding of Month-end Financial processes.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
