ELIGIBILITY: New York State Certification (early childhood B-2 and/or childhood 1-6)

REPORTS TO: Elementary Principal

DESCRIPTION: As a long-term substitute teacher, you will plan and provide instruction to students. This position is a General Education Teacher in the Elementary School. All curricula will remain consistent with New York State Standards and current curriculum. You will collaborate with staff on the grade level team to support student needs in the classroom and school environment.

DUTIES:

• As necessary plan for and provide instruction to students in grades K-5, as assigned, that is consistent with New York State Standards and the NYS regulations governing the provision of special education services.

• Uphold and support all aspects of Individual Education Plans for students.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues.

• Effectively communicate with students, colleagues, and parents.

• Complete assessments and reporting as appropriate.

• Consult and team with teachers and other disciplines in the development and delivery of Individual Education Plans.

• Collaborate with the educational team in the development classroom positive behavior support systems, and follow any behavior plans established for students.
