The Associate Writer/Producer contributes to the writing and producing workflow of sponsored promotions and communications for the Scheduling & Post-production Operations team. This team specializes in creating promos for the Branded Entertainment division of Warner Bros. Discovery. The job focuses on a fundamental understanding of writing and producing, as well as the ability of working alongside production and post-production staff.

Key Responsibilities:

This role focuses on Branded Entertainment creative that melds network brand and sponsor message into a cohesive and entertaining promo that serves all parties successfully.

  • Work closely with and assist writer / producer in all facets of creative production.

  • Research and acquire all materials necessary for projects in production.

  • Supervise edit sessions to create Tagged Tune-In’s for the WBD networks and sponsors.

  • Serve as point of contact for several projects and supply administrative and creative support.

  • Producer must be able to coordinate and schedule workflows efficiently; have strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Collaborates with sales, production, and scheduling departments.

Producing for Post-Production:

Manages the creative process through post-production. Works closely with Branded Entertainment partners/clients and sponsors to deliver video on-time and within budget.

  • In charge of supervising graphic, editorial and sound design requests.

  • Responsible for supervising voice over sessions with talent.

  • Interprets, accepts, and executes changes in a timely manner based on feedback.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Ability to create and deliver promotional content with the highest standards.

  • Writing for promotions and short form communications

  • Supervising edit, graphics, sound design sessions

  • Familiarity with After Effects and Photoshop is a plus.

  • Work schedule flexibility and accessibility a must

  • Detail-oriented, extremely well organized, and self-sufficient in completing projects with little or no direction.

  • Must be self-motivated and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines in a team environment.

  • Must be proactive and excel in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Strong computer skills with a high level of proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, internet research

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States

  • Management has the right to add or change duties and job requirements at any time.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience working with national cable, broadcasting, and/or film production.

  • 4+years of experience in the post-production and/or business environment

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent experience required.
