Holy Cross Hospital - 1500 Forest Glen Road Silver Spring, MD 20910 (EDU 1&2)
Date: Tuesday, November 19, 2024
Interview times:
10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. & 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Hiring for both hospitals - Silver Spring & Germantown!
Shifts: FT, PT, PRN (will be scheduled to work as needed) & Days or Nights

Responsibilities:
Protection Officer Job Duties:
Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of suspicious activity.
Respond promptly to alarms/calls for assistance.
Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property.
Provide first aid as needed during emergencies, ensuring the safety of all individuals involved.
Maintain detailed reports of incidents, observations, and actions taken during shifts.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary to address security concerns.
Qualifications:
Protection Officers:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience as a security officer(4 years)
Valid Driver's License
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through American Heart Association
Must be able to acquire a Special Police Officer Commission from the State of Maryland within one (1) year of appointment
Pay Range: $18.78 - $26.29
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
Driver Job Duties:
Driver will need to possess excellent people skills and the ability to get along well with passengers.
Will be required to do routine checks on all security vehicles.
Must be able to articulate that they understand Maryland traffic regulations.
Must possess ability to clearly communicate location and departure/arrival times over the phone.
Qualifications:
Drivers:
Must have a valid Driver’s license with a good driving record.
Must pass the certification in shipping infectious substances/dangerous goods course within the first 2 days of orientation.
Must pass the medication security health stream course.
Must wear a Holy Cross Health uniform.
Must possess and operate a cell phone.
Pay Range: $17.58 - $21.63
