Job Title: Software Test Technician

Job Description: Perform duties related to the testing and verification of system functionality through functional and regression testing. Systems include both hardware and software components, featuring complex, high-reliability elements. Primary focus is on testing software performance on embedded systems through pre-programmed inputs and recording/documenting results as per established processes.

Responsibilities

• Execute testing plans and procedures created by the engineering team for signal recording electronics hardware products.

• Collaborate with a small, multidisciplinary team of engineers on testing efforts for product modification and new design testing.

• Document all test results diligently in the internal tracking system.

• Hardware preparation/checkout

• Pre-ship procedures

• Regression testing using pre-set test stands/rigs

• Problem replication (CR)

• Backup verification

• Network and resource inventory

Skills & Qualifications

0-5 years of experience, Will train on the job if needed

Detail-oriented, driven, and action-oriented.

Open to personal development and growth within the organization.

Experience in a product development environment

Basic knowledge of scripting/batch scripting is a plus but not required.

Understanding of SW/HW interfaces and basic network engineering/protocols is a plus but not required.

Knowledge in electronics and troubleshooting is a plus but not required.

• SW/HW Quality Assurance Technician skills: Follow test plans/protocols for each piece of hardware, using a Windows-based GUI application to test SW/HW interaction for embedded systems.

• Experience with troubleshooting and documentation: Capable of testing digital hardware using equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters, network analyzers, signal generators, etc. Experience preferred but not required.

• Detail-oriented: Able to follow semi-complex test plans and document test results accurately according to SOPs.
